Watson Publishes Article in Toledo Newspaper

Attorney Laurie A. Watson, an associate in the Firm's Wealth Preservation Practice Group, recently published an article in the Toledo Free Press entitled "The Importance of Good Estate Planning" (Toledo Free Press, February 10, 2008). In addition to discussing what a will can and cannot do, the article highlights several issues that individuals must consider when preparing an estate plan. Often, individuals who have blended families, tax-deferred retirement assets, or other beneficiary-driven assets may find that a simple will is inadequate to achieve their wealth transfer and tax objectives, and further planning will be necessary.
